The Government of Tamil Nadu has promoted an exclusive company named "Tamil Nadu Working Women's Hostels Corporation Limited (TNWWHCL)", which has been established under the Companies Act of 2013 vide dated 28.05.2019. The Company was incorporated under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on 6th February 2020.

Mandate of TNWWHCL
- The mandate of the corporation is to develop new hostels, and upgrade existing hostels for women from all sections of society and operate them in a professional manner. Other infrastructure projects like development of senior living residences etc; are to be implemented through TNWWHCL.
- To create a new brand name for the chain of hostels across Tamil Nadu.
- To provide good hostel facilities enabling secure & pleasant accommodation at affordable prices to high income categories without compromising the requirements of the low-income categories thus striving to strike a balance between the two groups.
- To ensure professional operations and maintenance of hostels by upgraded accommodation facilities.
