VIZHUPPURAM

Villupuram or Vizhuppuram is the largest district in the state.
Villupuram is located on the banks of Thenpennai river. It also has Mosques, Temples and Churches which are very famous from the ancient period.
The locality is accessible via NH 332, NH 38 and SH 69 which lies in the middle of Tiruchirapalli & Chennai on NH 45
The Villupuram Railway Junction  is approximately 4 kms from Vaidretti. The Villupuram Railway Junction at Villupuram serves as the distribution point of rail traffic from Chennai towards the southern part of the State.
The most beautiful part lies around the famous Gingee hills

VELLORE

The recorded history of Vellore dates back to the ninth century, which is located on the banks of the Palar River in the northeastern part of Tamil Nadu. 

Vellore is the home to Christian Medical College & Hospital, the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and Sripuram Golden Temple.

The Vellore region is the largest exporter of finished leather goods in the country. Leather exports from Vellore account for more than 37% of India's leather exports.

Vellore is strategically located and well-connected by rail and bus routes to major towns in the neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

PERAMBALUR

This city has a mesmerizing fact such as, once upon a time the land should have been submerged under water about 416 million years ago, and fossils of marine species were found near the Kunnam taluk of the district, revealing the fact that the land was part of the ancient sea. 
Another historical fact is, there are a set of 11th  century Buddha statues around the villages of Perambalur called Perambalur Buddhas. 
The major occupation, the people rely on is cultivation and other small household industries.
The closest railway station is at Trichy, about 28 kms from Perambalur. Bus services are the primary mode of transportation.

CHENGALPATTU

The city is located near to the industrial and IT hub. It is the headquarters of the district and is 56 kilometres (35 mi) away from the state capital, Chennai on the National Highway.
It is an important commercial center. It has a medical college and other colleges affiliated with the University of Madras.
It has emerged as the latest hub for many employment opportunities in various fields. 

ADYAR

Adyar is surrounded by residential pockets of Besant Nagar and Thiruvanmiyur. As a cluster these areas are one of the established residential areas in suburban south Chennai.

Prominent Educational institutions, IT/IteS companies and Industrial units located in Guindy and Raji Gandhi Salai makes Adyar a suitable location for a housing for working professionals, families and students.
Adayar is also well known for its recreational activity, Boating. A boating club has been formed and local residents and sports lovers  like to spend time in the weekend evenings for leisure.   

TAMBARAM

The earliest mention of Tambaram dates back to the 13th century when the word 'Taamapuram' was inscribed on the walls around the sanctum sanctorum at Marundeeswarar temple in Tirukachur village, near Chengalpattu.

Tambaram lies on the thermal equator and is also coastal, which prevents extreme variation in seasonal temperature. For most of the year, the weather is hot and humid.
Some of the notable lakes in the city are Chitlapakkam Lake, Pallavaram Lake (locally known as Periya eri), Thiruneermalai Lake, Thirupananthal Lake, Peerkankaranai Lake, and Perungalathur Lake.

SALEM

People who love Mangoes should love Salem as well, without any other specific reason. 

Nevertheless, Salem plays an important role in the handloom industry as they have pioneered, since the ancient period by producing quality saree & dhoti out of silk yarn and have acted as a major exporting district.

TANJAVUR

Thanjavur is the 11th biggest city in Tamil Nadu & prevails as an important center of South Indian religion, art, and architecture. Most of the Great Living Chola Temples, which are UNESCO World Heritage Monuments, are located in and around Thanjavur. The foremost among these, is the Brihadeeswara Temple, built by the Chola emperor Rajaraja I, which is located in the centre of the city. Thanjavur is also home to Tanjore painting. 

Thanjavur, in ancient period played a major role in developing the Tamil literature,  music, painting and sculpting and education.

THIRUNELVELI

People who are fond of dessert would crave to visit this place often after tasting the smooth thick paste made from flour, butter, liquid oil, saffron, rosewater, milk, cocoa powder sweetened with sugar, called Halwa.

 It is the sixth-largest municipal corporation in the state after Chennai. The downtown is located on the west bank of the Thamirabarani River.

Tirunelveli is an ancient city, recorded to be more than two millennia old. The city is an educational hub of southern India, with many schools, colleges, institutions and government offices and that is why it is also called as Oxford of South India.

The word Tirunelveli is derived from three Tamil words: thiru, nel and veli, meaning "sacred paddy hedge“.

TRICHY

The city is credited with being the best livable city and the cleanest city of Tamil Nadu, as well as the fifth safest city for women in India.

The Cauvery Delta begins 16 kms west of the city where the Kaveri river splits into two, forming the island of Srirangam which is now incorporated into the Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation.

The most prominent historical monuments in Tiruchirappalli include the Rockfort at Teppakulam, the Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam.

The city holds a pride by a dam. The world's oldest surviving dam, the Kallanai (Lower Anaicut) about 18 kilometres  from Uraiyur, was built across the Kaveri River by Karikala Chola in the 2nd century AD.
